AURORA GENERAL ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, 1797

* Slave advertisements

The front page has a notice stating that a runaway NEGRO SLAVE named Harry Hall was apprehended by a constable. Says that he is the property of John Gillam, of Prince George County, Virginia. Mentions that the owner ...may have him...by applying to the subscriber ...and paying the charges. Front page also has a reward ad for a runaway Negro Man, named Chance. Uncommon to have a runaway described as a slave in such a notice. News of the day and advertisements. 4 pages in good condition.  The image shown is representative of what you will receive, but actual dates vary within 1797.  The ad will be the same (they ran it over a period of time).
