THE NEW YORK TIMES, May 15, 1948 The ftpg. has a dramatic, historic, banner headline proclaiming: "ZIONISTS PROCLAIM NEW STATE OF ISRAEL; TRUMAN RECOGNIZES IT AND HOPES FOR PEACE; EGYPT ORDERS INVASION, OTHER ARMIES NEAR" plus related subheads as well (see photos). The ftpg. also has photos of the two men: "At Helm Of The Jewish State" being David Ben-Gurion as Premier, and Moshe Shertok as Foreign Minister. Complete in 18 pgs., loose at the spine with some minor chipping at the blank margins, generally in nice, displayable condition. Terrific to have this historic report in the New York Times.
