THE SPRINGFIELD UNION, MA, April 21, 1951. This 34 page newspaper has a three line, four column headline on the front page: "N.Y. GIVES M'ARTHUR BIGGEST MASS TRIBUTE IN AMERICAN HISTORY" with subheads and two related photos also on the front page. Tells of the famous New York City ticker tape parade given for General Douglas MacArthur after World War II. This was the largest  turnout for such a tribute in American History with over 7 million people in attendance. Other news of the day with several interesting advertisements. Good condition.
