THE SUSQUEHANNAH CENTINEL, Montrose, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, 1818 This is a quite rare title of a newspaper which lasted for less than 2 1/2 years, and  the very first newspaper in the small town of Montrose. Of particular interest is the very ornate & handsome masthead which features a nicely engraved heraldic eagle above which is a star-studded arch (see photo) with "Centinel" in large letters. This newspaper contains various news of the day including political events, plus a wealth of advertisements as well.  This is a complete 4 page newspaper with never-trimmed margins,  generally in very nice condition. Measures about 12 by 19 1/2 inches. A very displayable--and uncommon--newspaper. The photo below is "generic" however the issue you receive will be from 1818 and will have the same masthead, layout, and general condition.
