NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, August 1, 1829  Featured in this issue are articles on the following:  slavery in the country of Columbia,  a brief letter from John Quincy Adams declining an invitation to a July 4th celebration in Boston; a notice concerning Dr. Martin Van Buren; a quote from Ben Franklin; and an interesting article on people being injured by steam boats and stages traveling too fast, and a discovery of a coal vein in Pennsylvania being referred to as "more valuable than gold", and much more.
Octavo-size in nice condition except for little staining.  This 16 page newspaper has interesting news of the day throughout.
