Ralph Waldo Emerson to lecture... Utah to become a state?...

NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, Feb. 7, 1862 The front page contains a somewhat inconspicuous notice beginning: "A Lecture will be delivered by Ralph Waldo Emerson upon 'American Civilization..." with a few other details (see photo). Also, page 3 contains an article headed: "From Utah--Movement for Admission as a State". There are also various Civil War reports on the inside pages as well. Complete in 8 pages, very nice condition.
