Beginning on the front page and taking most of this single sheet newspaper is a lengthy poem: "A Challenge To Vice and Atheism". In a ftpg. message from the publisher is an explanation for this unusual format which states in part: "We shall now in this, and in all the Poetical Mercuries we publish for the future, insert a Formal Challenge to VICE...and on the other side VIRTUE...so that all together there will be a formd POEM..."
A very interesting and unusual issue!
Measures 12 1/4 by 7 7/8 inches, has some foxing but is still quite readable.
