This issue has a color cover page before the title page which has an illustration on it titled "Why Workmen Drink" by Enright. On the back of the cover page there is an illustration with poems called "Chinese Lyrics" by Pai Ta-Shun.

In this issue, there are several articles including "Big Jews and Little" by Norman Hapgood; "Why Violence in Bayonne?" by Amos Pinchot; "Why Workmen Drink" by Charles Whittaker; "The Femininist's Best Friend" by Jeannette Eaton; "why the War Was no Prevented" by Samuel Gompers; "Large Families and Child Labor" by Mary Alden Hopkins; "A Generation That Plays the Game" by Herbert Reed and "A Child on Shipboard" by Arthur Gleason.

There are also several illustrations in this issue including "Pen and Inklings--Summer Pests--III. The Tattlesnake" by Oliver Herford. The double page center fold is a photo spread with pictures from the war.

Other advertisements of the day are included as well, helping to portray life at the turn of the century. This issue is in very good condition.
