HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, October 31, 1908  The front page of this issue has an illustration by W. A. Rogers called "'Be Thou a Spirit of Health, or Goblin Damn'd, Thou Com'st in Such a Questionable Shape...' "

This issue has photos of "How to Vote for Taft and Chanler"; "A Great American Automobile Victory"; "Michigan's forest-Fire Tragedy"; "A Princess of Comic Opera" and "Laying the Corner-Stone of the Catholic Cathedral at St. Louis." There is also an illustration by John Newton Howitt called "The Joys of Convalescence--The First Cigar" and a double page illustration by Kemble, "'If He is Elected, in Another Four Years You Will See the Bryan Banner Still Floating O'er the Temples of American Industry"; plus the 12th comic in a series by Grill called "The White House Boys, Bill and Jack and much more.

Other advertisements of the day are included as well, helping to portray life at the turn of the century.
