HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, November 24, 1877  Full front page shows a Thomas Nast political cartoon entitled "Saved (?) By The Skin Of His____" showing the injured Republican elephant hanging onto a limb with his trunk. Great full page shows construction of the Brooklyn Bridge "The East River Bridge - Demolition of Buildings for the New York Approach". Full page Thomas Nast political cartoon shows Uncle Sam entitled "The Lightning Speed of Honesty". A full page illustration "How the Streets of New York are Cleaned" shows 8 vignettes. An article "After the Assault" features a 3/4 page illustration. "Cleopatra's Needle"  also features a half page illustration "Abandonment of Cleopatra's Neede in the Bay of Biscay, at Daybreak, October 15".
This issue is complete in 16 pages, in good condition as shown and contains additional prints and related text.
