HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Oct. 7, 1871  The backpage has the Thomas Nast cartoon: "That's What's The Matter", captioned: "Boss Tweed. 'As long as I can count the Votes, what are you going to do about it? Say?'", which draws attention to election fraud.
Also present are: the frontpage 2/3 pg. illus. of "A London School Board Capture." (Homeless children). Inside is a full pg. illus of "Design for a Proposed Monumental Fountain in the City Hall Park." 1/2 pg. illus. of "The Cursaal, or Gambling House, Wiesbaden."
Doublepage centerfold of "The Interior of the Gambling House at Wiesbaden from Actual Sketches in the Salon." Full pg. illus. entitled "Stop Thief!" Two 1/4 pg. portraits of "Andrew H. Green, the New Deputy Controller" and "Rev. Eliphalet Nott Potter, D.D. President of Union College." Also, a 1/2 pg. illus. of "Great Hawk and Small Mormon." 2/3 pg. illus. entitled "Amazement Seized All the General Voice Proclaimed the Ring Justly Doomed to Die, Since it had Withstood the Will of the Goddess of Justice." Many small illus. showing "Shakespeare's Voyage of Life." Also, many small illus. pertaining to "My Mother." (Nast). 2/3 pg. illus. of "Lady Jane Grey's Victory Over Bishop Gardiner."
