HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, January 7, 1871  The front page is "Any Thing But a Happy New-Year".  Inside the issue is a 3/4 page illustration of "Joseph Garibaldi"; a 1/4 page "The City of Evreux, Normandy, France"; a very nice dblpg.centerfold "The Room In Which Charles Dickens Wrote" which includes an article on it as well; a slightly larger than halfpage "A Dogs' Dinner-Party in Paris"; a 3/4 page "Home Treasures"; a Thomas Nast political cartoon is on the backpage.

Other news and advertisements of the day are included. This issue is complete in 16 pages and is in good condition.
