HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, October 23, 1869 The front page of the issues shows: 'Types of the Cuban Patriot Soldiers' and 'Lord and Lady Byron'. A nice full page of the 'Excavating for the Foundation of the New York City Post Office Building'. "Captain Hall's Arctic Expedition" also has a one-quarter page illustration 'Capt. C.F. Hall and His Esquimaux Interpreters' plus a halfpage "Relics Found by Captain Hall in His Recent Arctic Exploring Expedition". Two fullpage illustrations are "The Great Flood, October, 1869" [re: the Saxby Gale/Hurricane] and "Cormorants' Nests on Magdalena Island, Strait of Magellan". A halfpage illustration is of the 'Scene of the Terrible Boiler Explosion at the State Fair, Indianapolis, Indiana'. Two "Soldiers' Monuments in Pennsylvania" contain the illustration of those at Norristown and Girard College in Philadelphia.  A halfpage illustration is of "The Young Men's Christian Association's New Building, fourth Avenue and Twenty-third Street, New York" and a nearly half-page "The Sacred Bull at Seringham, India".
