HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, August 28, 1869  The front page shows: 'Solar Eclipse, 1869' with a nice print of a makeshift observatory at Shelbyville, Kentucky and 8 illus. of the phases of the eclipse.  "Steamboat Riot on the Mississippi" article also features a nearly half page illustration. A half page illustration of: "Exposition of Textile Fabrics at Cincinnati, Ohio, August 3 - 7, 1869".  A half page illustration: "The Prince of Wales Unveiling the Statue of Mr. George Peabody at the Royal Exchange, London."  A great full page bowling scene" 'A Ten-Strike'. Another very displayable print is "Ducks in the Water" which shows girls swimming. Two scenes of the Union Pacific Railroad' and 'A Prairie on Fire in Neb.' and 'Omaha, the Eastern Terminus'. A full page illustration "An Heroic Boy" has an accompanying article.
Complete in 16 pages and contains additional prints and related text.
