HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, June 20, 1868 The front page shows an illustration of mother duck protecting her ducklings entitled "Maternal Vigilance in the Face of the Enemy". A half page illustration shows: 'Unknown Soldier's Monument in Arlington" "Decorating Soldiers' Graves in Cypress Hill Cemetery near Brooklyn" and 'Decorating General Lander's Grave at Salem, Mass.'. A great ful lpage: "The Life of an Indian" includes 9 vignettes and is a great item for display! Another displayable full page engraving is "The Peddler's Wagon". "Removal of the Remains of the Late Stephen A. Douglass to the Mausoleum at Chicago" with an accompanying article; "The Douglas Monument". A small illustration "The Late Ex-President Buchanan" has an accompanying article. A half page illustration "Steamer 'Newport,' of the New York, Newport, and Boston Line - Familiarly Known as the 'Old Fall River Line'" and "Scene on the Road to Jerome Park" are featured on the same page.
Complete in 16 pages and contains additional prints and related text.
