HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Sept. 2, 1865 The front page shows: "Collision on the Housatonic Railroad near Bridgeport, Connecticut" and: "Housatonic Railroad Slaughter--House to Which the Wounded Were Conveyed".
Inside has an interesting full page: "Wall Street & Broadway--Ways of Getting & Spending Money" showing many vignettes. Also within is a large portrait of "William Cullen Bryant", a displayable doublepage centerfold: 'Newly-Arrived Emigrants at Castle Garden, New York City" (small binding holes are common) showing crowds of immigrants in several vignettes. Also prints of: "Francois Jean Joseph, the Rebel President" of Hayti; "Fabre Geffrard, President of Hayti" "Rear-Admiral Francis H. Gregory" "Hon.
