HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 27, 1865  The front page features "Lewis Payne the Assassin" under guard, with text headed: "Capture of Davis", "Payne the Assassin" and "President Lincoln's Burial".
Inside includes a dramatic full page: "Charge of the Ninth Army Corps on Fort Mahone, April 3, 1865". A full page features a half page illustration of: "The Fight Before Mobile - Storming of Fort Blakely, April 9, 1865" and nearly half page "The Gun-Boat 'Genesee' Provided with a Net-Work Against Torpedoes" and a smaller "Burning of the 'Black Hawk,' April 22, 1865".  A half page "James Bennett's House, where Johnston Surrendered to Sherman - Exterior View" also features smaller illustration of the interior. A quarter-page illustration of Brevet Major-General James H. Wilson and a half-page illustration "Paris Fashions for May, 1865".
Two half page illustrations are entitled "President Lincoln's Funeral - Procession in Chicago" and "President Lincoln's Funeral - Catafalque in the City Hall, Springfield, Illinois" and a full page illustration is entitled: "President Lincoln's Funeral - Burial Service at Oak Ridge, Springfield, Illinois."
The back page has a cartoon: "Jefferson Davis As an Unprotected Female!" which makes fun of his attempt to escape in his wife's clothing. Complete in 16 pages.
