HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, April 8, 1865  This issue was printed just one day prior to the surrender of Robert E. Lee to U.S. Grant at Appomattox.
The front page shows the: "Raising the Stars & Stripes Over the Capitol at Columbia, South Carolina" as well as a print of: "The Fifteenth Corps Crossing the South Edisto".  Prints inside include a: "Map of the Campaign Against Richmond" "Colonel O. M. Poe" "Brigadier-General H. A. Barnum" "Charge of the First Alabama & Fifth Kentucky Under Colonel Spencer, at White Pond" "Captain Ainsworth Moving Up Cape Fear River to Open Communication with Sherman" "Lt. Grinnell & Ensign Colby Bearing Dispatches to General Sherman" "Ruins of the Norfolk Navy Yard" "the 'Richmond' Rescuing the Crew of the 'Enterprise' ".
There are two full page prints: "Charge of Weaver's Brigade Across the Salkhatchie, South Carolina" and "The Burning of Columbia, South Carolina". Additional smaller prints include: "Scenes In the Recent Disastrous Freshets" which has4 prints taking a full page showing: "The Flood in Rochester..." "Flood in Mound City, Illinois..." "Happy Hollow, Near Mound City...". Other prints include: "Monevideo, the Capital of Uruguay, South America" "Leandro Gomez" "Leaving Gomez's Headquarters, Paysandu" "The Turret Fort, Paysandu".
The back page has a cartoon: "The Hygiene of New York City". Complete in 16 pages.
