HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, June 8, 1861  The front page shows: "Uniforms of the Fifth Regiment New York Volunteers, Colonel Duryee, Now at Fortress Monroe". Also in this issue is a Winslow Homer print titled: "The Advance Guard of the Grand Army of U.S. Crossing the Long Bridge over the Potomac at 2 a.m. on May 24, 1861", prints of: "The Late Colonel Ellsworth" "Corporal Francis E. Brownell, Ellsworth Zouaves"; a small print of: "Bollman's Rock, Point of Rocks, Harper's Ferry, Thrown Down by the Rebels to Obstruct the Railroad Track".
Also a full page: "Ellsworth's Zouaves" which includes 4 scenes; "General Caldwader's Camp of United States Volunteers at Locust Point, Opposite Baltimore, Maryland".
There is also a very expansive doublepage centerfold showing a: "Pictorial Map of the Seat of War, Showing Parts of the States of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina & Also the Coast Line from Cape Henry to Fort Pickens, with the United States Blockading Fleet." Other prints include: "Presentation of Colors to the Garibaldi Zouaves, New York" "The Garibaldi Zouaves on the Double-Quick in Broadway" "Bivouac of Part of General Sickles' Excelsior Brigade at the Red House, Harlem New York" "The Guthrie Gray's Marching Through Cincinnati en Route for Camp Dennison" "Funeral of the Late Colonel Vosburgh of the 71st Regiment, New York State Militia, Passing Through Broadway" and "Sherman's Battery of Light Artillery, Now in Virginia".
Included also is a serialized portion of "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. The back page has 2 cartoons. Complete in 16 pages.
