The front page also includes a small illustration of "The Figures of a Horse and Rider Came Slowly Through the Eddying Mist." Inside includes nine small illustrations pertaining to "Ye Pictorial Historie of Abner Howe's Journey to Pike's Peak in Search of a Rapid Fortune." (Gold Rush).
A quarter page illustration of "Count Cavour" and a 1/2 page illustration of "The Prince of Wales at Miss Hosmer's Studio." Four half page illustration pertaining to "The Paraguay Expedition-Reception of the Officers at San Jose" including "The Paraguay Squadron at Rosario," "General Urquiza's Palace at San Jose," "Lassoing Bullocks at San Jose," and "The Guacho Dance."
Under the "Domestic Intelligence" section is "The Trial of Daniel E. Sickles" which includes the reporting on the trial being handed to the jury, the verdict, what the jury said and other reporting.
