Here is a complete, ABSOLUTELY GENUINE issue of the ILLUSTSRATED NEWS newspaper, formatted very much like Harper's Weekly, dated Jan. 8, 1853. This is the volume 1, number 2 issue of a paper owned in part by P.T. Barnum. See the photos for the nice full page print showing the "Present State of the Monument at Washington" being the Washington Monument, and the nice fullpage print captioned: "Present State of the Capitol at Washington" showing it under construction, with the old dome. You get the complete 16 page issue which has some foxing but generally is in very nice condition. Very early prints of these two famous places.
