GLEASON'S PICTORIAL Boston, Oct. 4, 1851  The photos show the very nice half page print appearing on an inside page and captioned: "The Celebrated Yacht America" being the vessel which won the now-famous international yacht race the very first year it was held, hence the name "America's Cup". This race remains yacht racing's most coveted prize to this day. There is detailed description of the yacht on the adjacent page.
About a third of a page has a print: "American Reaping Machine" with text about this important invention by Cyrus McCormick. Halfpg: "The Daily Sun Building, Baltimore, Maryland" with a detailed article. Almost a halfpg: "Encampment Of Gipsies". A bit of lite foxing in the lower and left margins around the America print, some foxing as well in the lower right corner, and just a few traces of foxing in the print. Piece clipped from the lower right corner of the ftpg., lite wear at the spine, occasional foxing.
