* Cassius Clay - Muhammad Ali
* Famous heavyweight boxing match
* Sonny Liston defeated
This issue reports one of the more notable events in boxing history, as 22 year-old Cassius Clay wins the heavyweight title by a surprise victory over Sonny Liston.
Not much needs to be said about Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali after conversation to the Nation of Islam later in 1964) as he remains one of the more colorful personalities in the world of sports. In 1999 Sports Illustrated crowned him "Sports Personality of the Century", which says it all.
The front page has a photo of Clay in his famous pose with small heading: "I Am The Greatest" (see)
The top of page 8 has a six column headline: "Clay Astounds Boxing World" with subheads and another photo of Clay. (see)
Complete with all 12 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, generally nice.
