THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, December 26, 1767 A report from a letter from Williamsburgh says: "...There is scarce any history...which affords an account of such a rapid & sudden increase of inhabitants in a back frontier country as that of North Carolina...that 20 years ago there were not 20 taxable persons within the limits of the county of Orange; in which there now are 4000 taxable..." (see).
The balance of the issue is taken up with various reports from Europe from just 8 years before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. Many advertisements as well.
Complete in 8 pages, measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
