Among the one column headings on the Civil War are: "THE BATTLE IN THE VIRGINIA VALLEY" "Additional Details of General Shields' Victory" "Description of the Battle by Our Correspondent" "Terrible Effect of the Artillery on the Retreating Rebels" "Condition Of Gen. Shields" "IMPORTANT FROM BEAUFORT, N.C." and more.
Complete in eight pages. This issue is not fragile as newsprint from this era was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. A little light damp staining, nice condition.
