Surprisingly these issues are in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Two small library stamps are present on the front pages, occasional wear here and there but overall nice. Volume covers have some scuffing but generally nice. Contains a wealth of news events soon after the Spanish-American War. Many advertisements as well.

This is the vol. 1, no. 2 issue and this title is not recorded in either the Union List of Serials, or Gregory's Union List of American Newspapers. Searching out a few advertisements show this is now just Los Angeles, but once must have been known as "Sherman, Calif." as many ads note this address. Our research shows Sherman Oaks was never called just Sherman. In any case a quite rare title which apparently never lasted beyond a few issues. Four pages, good condition.
